ROCK HALL — Kent County Public Schools' spring break is fast approaching, with synchronous and asynchronous days leading into and out of it.

Thursday, March 28 is an asynchronous learning day for students and a professional development day for staff. Schools are closed for students on asynchronous days.

On asynchronous days, students are provided with assignment packets to be completed at home and returned to schools.

Schools and offices are closed for spring break Friday, March 29 through Monday, April 1.

Tuesday, April 2 is a synchronous learning day for students. Schools are closed on synchronous days, but students receive live-streamed instruction from teachers online.

School-issued devices will be sent home with students Wednesday, March 27 for the April 2 synchronous day.

Students will also be given a schedule for the synchronous day. 

The synchronous school day for elementary students will be from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. 

For middle and high schoolers, their online instruction time will run from 7:40 a.m. to noon.

When students return to classrooms on Wednesday, April 3, they should bring with them their devices and any accessories like charging cables.
