ROCK HALL — Kent County Public Schools is offering online summer learning opportunities for middle and high school students.
These programs offered through Apex Learning will provide students access to personalized practice in English, math and other subjects, as well help them prepare for assessment exams.
Students will follow their learning path and can choose how they master concepts and practice skills according to how they learn best.
Students can choose to work on their 2021-22 school year content to strengthen their skills or 2022-23 content to get a head start for the fall.
Tutorials are aligned to Maryland Content Standards and pinpoint and address students' most urgent needs with personalized instruction, practice and review.
We encourage students to work frequently in Tutorials to retain what they learn and ensure they are ready for next school year.
For students in sixth to eighth grade the program offerings are:
• Math 6, 7 and 8
• Algebra I
• MCAP reviews for Math 6, 7 and 8 and Algebra I
• English 6, 7, 8 and 9
• MCAP reviews for English 6, 7 and 8
• MISA review for Science 8
The programs for students in grades nine through 11 are:
• Algebra I and Algebra II
• Geometry
• MCAP prep for Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry
• English 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12
• MCAP prep for English 10
This online program also offers high school students access to personalized practice in Advanced Placement classes to prepare for the 2022-23 school year.
The AP program options are:
• AP English Language and Composition
• AP English Literature and Composition
• AP Spanish Language and Culture
• AP Biology
• AP Calculus AB
• AP Chemistry
• AP Psychology
• AP Environmental Science
All ninth- through 11th-grade students also are already enrolled in the SAT and ACT Prep classrooms and can start at any time.
