Our hearts and prayers go out to the families, faculty and staff of Antioch High School in Tennessee. The report of a shooting at the school Wednesday, Jan. 22 is heartbreaking. Our counseling team, teachers and staff are available to talk to our students who need support at this time. We continue to ask our community to support safety in our schools. If you see something, say something. You can call our schools or report tips anonymously through Kent County Public Schools’ mobile app. The app also sends out push notifications to provide information and instructions if there is an incident. Keeping Kids Safe Online

Student Services: Committed to enhancing student achievement

The Child Advocacy Center in Kent County has shared information provided by Shared Hope who is developing comprehensive tools for parents, teachers, and all those working with youth to protect children from the traps predators lay with a plan to get these tools into as many adult hands as possible. They will raise awareness of grooming tactics, equip adults with knowledge of technology dangers, and provide tangible “how-to” safety tips. 


National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has launched the NetSmartz website, offering safety information for families on topics including cyberbullying and online enticement and more.
