Kent County Board of Education banner

The Kent County Board of Education has five elected members, each serving four-year terms, and a student member from Kent County High School selected to serve for a one-year term. The Board of Education regularly meets on the second Monday of the month at the Kent County Public Schools Central Office, 5608 Boundary Ave., Rock Hall.




Meeting Information

The next regularly scheduled monthly meeting will be held Monday, Dec. 11, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Open session will be immediately followed by the Board members going into closed session. The Dec. 11, open session will resume at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be located at the Kent County Public Schools Administrative Building, 5608 Boundary Ave., Rock Hall.

Ethics Panel and Policy

The Ethics Panel is charged with receiving and maintaining documents such as financial disclosure forms, providing advisory opinions and reviewing alleged ethics violations.
 
Three members comprise the Ethics Panel in accordance with Kent County Board of Education policy.
 
Members must be residents of Kent County. Membership restrictions include current Board of Education members and school officials, employees and their spouses.
 
Appointments to the Ethics Panel are confirmed by the Board of Education.
 
Ethics Panel members are appointed to three-year terms. Members are eligible for reappointment.

This exhibit at the National Great Blacks in Wax Museum in Baltimore offers visitors a glimpse into what it was like for enslaved people seeking freedom along the Underground Railroad.
